The CONSERVATIVE CONGREGATION of PEABODY
The Social Action committee is involved in many projects throughout the year and always welcomes new ideas. Some include the following:
§ Pan Mass Challenge bicycle ride for the Dana Farber Cancer Center
§ Project Isaiah – collect food for local food pantries
§ Maintain food collection for the Jewish Family Services Food Pantry
§ Bikkur Cholim visits and special programs at local hospitals and nursing homes
§ Annual winter coat drive with distribution to local agencies
§ Blood drive
§ Participate in the Jewish Literacy Program on the North Shore
§ North Shore Medical Center Cancer Walk
§ Ecology project
The Social Action Committee meets monthly and welcomes new members anytime. If you have a new project you would like to see the congregants involved with please come to our meetings and tell us about it. Ask the Temple secretary for the meeting dates.
